The weight limitations are as follows:
Bone Mineral Density – 350 lbs (159 kg)
X-Ray Studies – 500 lbs (227 kg)
Nuclear Medicine Studies – 440 lbs (200 kg)
Ultrasound Studies – 500 lbs (227 kg)
For mammography exams, the arms of the wheelchair must be removable. For all imaging studies, patients must be able to self-transfer from their wheelchair to the imaging table. Due to the nature of an outpatient clinic, we do not have specialized lifting equipment available on-site; however, patients can bring someone to assist them with transferring and/or lifting.
