Are You Concerned About Health Care Cuts?
November 9, 2015
If not, you should be. Since February 2015, the Ontario government has made an almost 7 percent unilateral cut to physician expenditures. These cuts directly affect the care patients in Ontario receive. Please take a moment to print and sign this petition to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, if you would like a fair deal that promotes quality, patient-focused care. Please encourage friends and family to sign as well. Together we can make a difference.

Leading-Edge Ultrasound Technology
February 22, 2012
MMI is proud to announce the recent acquisition of a new Philips IU22 ultrasound machine to compliment the existing fleet of five that we currently have in use. These state-of-the-art, high resolution, ergonomic machines, are complimented by five Philips HDI 5000 machines and two Philips IE33 machines.
MMI’s ultrasound technology is among the best in the Ottawa region, allowing us to produce high quality sonograms and to provide accurate and reliable results to your doctor. Upgrading our technology frequently is just another way Merivale Medical Imaging continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to providing superior service and high quality results.
Using Innovative Technology to Provide Excellent Care
December 19, 2011
MMI’s state-of-the-art equipment and robust IT infrastructure is similar to those being used by many of the world’s leading hospitals. We firmly believe having up-to-date technology is key to providing excellent care for our patients. As part of our patient focused technology strategy, MMI is pleased to be the first Independent Health Facility within the Champlain/LHIN region to become part of the Northern and Eastern Ontario Diagnostic Imaging Network diagnostic imaging repository (NEODIN DI-r).
The NEODIN DI-r is a secure, shared repository of images and reports for more than 60 medical imaging departments in northern and eastern Ontario. This repository allows physicians access to medical imaging test results regardless of where the images were generated within the network. In other words, physicians at the region’s hospitals can see test results from MMI, and MMI physicians can see imaging test results from the hospitals, making the sharing of information faster and easier, and reducing wait times for patients.
Being able to compare imaging test results over time is an important part of a patient’s care. Becoming part of NEODIN is just one of the many ways Merivale Medical Imaging is continuing to provide excellent care for our patients and their physicians.
